How our Office Operates
Gonzalez Accounting is a remote accounting firm operating from 9am to 6pm Mountain Standard Time (Arizona Time) Monday through Thursday. Our office is located at 122 N Cortez St Suite 301 Prescott, AZ 86301. For security reasons our office is open by appointment only.
Appointments are available on our website Gonzalez-accounting.com, this is also the fastest way to book with us, as it is instant. Contact us via email helpdesk@gonzalez-accounting.com, this email is checked daily with responses received within 1 business day or call our office at 928.227.3353, our help desk is available to answer calls Monday through Thursday, if we are not available to take your call, please leave a voice mail and it will be returned the within 1 business day.
Direct email, phone questions, and voice mail to your Tax Preparer and Accountant take additional time for a response, typically 2 business days, as we work on a time block system in which allows us to focus on specific projects. For faster service, our tax preparers and accountants may transfer your email or phone request with direction to the help desk who will respond on their behalf.
Accepted payments: We accept cash, checks, money orders, cashier’s checks, debit cards, credit cards, and ACH transfers. When paying with cash please call and make an appointment for payment with the cashier.
Internal Requirements: We require a photo ID for all tax returns and owners of the business, proof of SSN for all tax returns and owners of the business, business articles of organization, and EIN verification letter.

- Schedule an appointment: schedule directly on our website Gonzalez-accounting.com, send us an email to schedule helpdesk@gonzalez-accounting.com, call us to schedule 928.227.3353. If we determine we do not have the expertise or cannot meet your specific needs, we will tell you before starting any work.
Appointments are available in person, via phone conversations, and via Zoom. Remote tax preparation require an retainer of $150 to be paid before the start of work. During our appointment we will discuss your needs and how we can meet those needs.
Business tax preparation is available via remote only with a turnaround time of 10-14 days to completion. To ensure that tax returns are filed by their due date, Partnerships and S-Corps must submit all of their information by March 10, 2025, C-Corps must submit all of their information by March 31, 2025. If tax information is submitted after the submission deadline, we do our best to complete the return by the tax deadline, however this cannot be guaranteed, and an extension may have to be filed for a fee of $80.
Individual tax preparation requiring not more than 2 schedules may be completed in an in-person session and in most cases be completed during your appointment. Individual tax preparation can also be completed remotely with a turnaround time of 2-3 business days to completion. To ensure that tax returns are filed by their due date, Individual taxpayers must submit all of their information by April 10, 2025, for remote preparation. Our last day for in person tax preparation is April 12, 2025. If tax information is submitted after the submission deadline, we do our best to complete the return by the tax deadline, however this cannot be guaranteed, and an extension may have to be filed for a fee of $60.
- We email you a list of all items we will need to analyze. This will help us to develop a proposal and contract.
- We draft a detailed proposal accompanied with a letter of engagement and contract. In these documents we detail our scope of work and fee schedule.
- Tax preparation begins when the proposal and contract are signed. Payment for in-person appointments is due at the time of service. Remote tax preparation requires a $150 deposit with the balance due when return is completed.
Things we don’t do
Clear boundaries are always a good thing to establish. As I have gotten older I have learned that there are things that are not good for me or my co-workers and things that I will never do again.
- We are not part of your office staff (we need to be objective and separtating ourselves helps acheive that).
- We do not start work until the terms and payment arrangements are satisfied (its sad to say, but we have been burned in the past, so now we set ourselves out with a fresh start to prevent non payment from happening).
- We do not provide audit support as a service with our Tax Preparation services.
- We do not accept any foul language or aggressive behavior (we expect everyone to act as adults who have the ability to conduct themselves respectfully. Any type of abuse is not tollerated).
- We do not have a walk-in office. Our physical office is open by appointment only. This is for security purposes.
- We do not continue work for clients with an unpaid balance over 60 days. We suspend work and do not start again until the balance is paid in addition to the re-administration of services fee of $250.
- We don’t work with Apple Computers (I'm sorry, I don't have the patience anymore).
- We have discontinued working with QuickBooks Desktop, however, if you can make a case for it, you may convince me.
- We don't work on Sundays, ever.
